When the dayboat Tofinou wins a cabin

With the same elegance and refinement as always, the new Tofinou 10 stands out from its brothers with its habitable cabin for coastal cruising.

The Tofinou 10 (10 m long) breaks with the long line of dayboats from the Charente shipyard. Indeed, apart from the Tadorne (8 m), this shipyard has always produced dayboats. From the Tofinou 7, the one that made the reputation of the shipyard, to the Tofinou 12, the Latitude 46 shipyard has specialized in elegant, fast and easy to handle sailing boats.

The Tofinou 10 (a name probably soon to be completed by "Cruising") is still designed by Michel Joubert (just before his death). We find the touch of this famous architect with a very elegant line and a hull that offers good performances. The hull design is new with a slightly higher freeboard and a more prominent deckhouse.

" We had a request from customers who wanted more habitability than on a dayboat for coastal cruising "explains Christian Iscovici, who is in charge of the site The Tadorne offers a few beds, but by moving on all fours. With the Tofinou 10, without having an exceptional headroom so as not to break the line, we have managed to accommodate a rear cabin and a toilet. At its highest point, the owners will have a headroom of 1.70 m. You just need to put your head down! "

The facilities are complete with a "small" kitchen, a saloon (too small to sleep in) and a Breton bed in the front triangle. " Apart from the closed rear cabin, we chose to design a loft atmosphere, open to leave a beautiful interior volume. "

Outside, the style remains very classic with a cockpit closed by a transom and a trunk that will offer a nice sunbathing space above. If we can see a steering wheel on the drawings, it will be optional, the tiller being standard.

The standard version is a keelboat, but the boat is also available with a lifting keel to limit the draft. A twin keel version can also be studied at the request of a customer. As for the rudder, it is a twin-keel version.

The first copy of this boat has already been sold. It will be used as a model presented at the Paris (December 2016) and Düsseldorf (January 2017) boat shows.
