Sea Ray's L590, in search of maximum space

Sea Ray will introduce its new large yacht in September 2016 - the 17.93-meter L590 - the second model in the L-Class. On the program, space and comfort for living on the water, just like at home.

Sea Ray will present at the Yachting Cannes Festival 2016 (September 6-11) the brand new L590, the second model of the L-Class, which counts the largest boats of the brand. This will be the first European presentation of the 58.10-foot (17.93 m) yacht, which will also be unveiled in a Fly version (the model is not yet released in Europe). The largest model in the âeuros range the L650 Fly âeuros had been presented at this same show in 2015.

The L590 offers a high level of comfort with a layout where each space corresponds to a function. The interior is completely open, and the space continues onto the cockpit when the bay window is open.

At the stern, a bathing platform facilitates access to the water and gives access to the cockpit. The latter houses a large L-shaped sofa with a table installed in the corner. This arrangement frees up space in the cockpit and makes passage more fluid. Opposite, on the port side, the outdoor kitchen allows you to prepare your meal without having to enter the boat.

On the main deck, space is intelligently distributed so that each area corresponds to a function. We start with the living room with a large sofa on the starboard side and a table, TV and sideboard on the port side. Just behind, we find the dining area with the equipped kitchen to port and the dining table to starboard, where once again the triangular table fits perfectly with the L-shaped sofa. Once again, this layout allows for more space to move freely around the boat. Just in front, the cockpit has two armchairs. Access to the cabins is via a central companionway located at the front of the boat. Finally, a large sunroof allows to ventilate the interior of the boat.

At the front, there is a large sunbathing area for 3 people, facing the sea. Opposite this, just in front of the windshield, there is a bench seat, with a passage in the front deck. Thus, coupled with the sunbathing area, the L590 benefits from a front deck lounge.

Below deck, there are 3 large cabins:

  • A cabin with double bed located in the front with two side benches and two dressing rooms and bathroom with shower and separate toilet
  • One cabin with two twin beds and a dressing room on starboard
  • A very large central owner's cabin with a double bed installed diagonally, an L-shaped sofa on the port side, a dressing room, storage space and a bathroom with shower and separate toilet.

The L590 comes with a joystick system that allows you to maneuver the boat with ease. It is equipped as standard with Triple Cummins® QSC 8.3-600 In-line 6, Diesel Zeus® Drives (Tri-593 hp-442 kW).
