The Ceclo (pronounced cyclo) is a modern-day pedalo, born of the imagination of an ambitious dreamer, Florent Vitiello, and the know-how of a skilled, close-knit team.
From reality... to REV
It all began in 2008, when its creator, Florent Vitiello, went on his honeymoon to Mauritius. He wanted to spend a romantic moment on the lagoon with his wife, but the choice of watercraft was limited, and not necessarily ideal for a romantic moment. It's true that canoes and jet-skis don't really lend themselves to romance... So he came up with the idea of creating a product that would let you spend an intimate moment on the water.
In 2014, he brought together his skills and know-how to create Rev; emotions on the water to create something new and design. His first activity is on land, where he has been CEO since 2009 of SEV Electric Vehicles, which markets electric two-wheelers, motorcycles and bicycles.
Enjoy an intimate moment on the water
In March 2014, REV (Recréative Electric Vehicles) was born. " Its name was simply born of my dream..." explains Florent Vitiello. And the Ceclo makes its appearance. " We revisited the pedalo, keeping only its playful side, and gave it the name Ceclo. It's hard not to call a pedalo a pedalo, but we preferred the notion of a cycle: more rewarding, noble and with an "electric" intelligence, which is why we replaced the "y" with the "E", the common thread running through all our products ."
The Ceclo is a revisited pedalo, powered by electric assistance. It has a cruising speed of 6 km/h and a top speed of 9 km/h. It has a large displacement and a hull reminiscent of a catamaran. It can accommodate 2 to 4 people on board. " It's a floating island, a comfortable cocoon for couples to enjoy a romantic stroll in total intimacy. There's a big cushion to lie on, you can listen to music, you can sit forward and let your feet wander in the water..."
This revisited pedal boat is perfect for a romantic stroll for two, or a family outing. " It's a fun product and the motorization makes pedaling easier ."
Many options are available and it is fully customizable" You can customize the product, choose the materials, opt for teak or a precious wood instead of cork, have an inscription engraved... Customization is our strength ."
Ceclo is entirely made in France, but exports very well. " Our market is 80% export. It's a product that exports very well because we've chosen typically French values, like romance and gourmandise."

Top-of-the-range positioning
Presented at the Paris Boat Show, the Ceclo was a big hit with professionals and private customers alike. " The launch went extremely well. The design is particularly appealing to women. So the gamble paid off for us, since the notion of romance was well understood by them."
Luxury hotels, cruise lines and yacht captains are also very interested in the product, and some have already placed orders. Initially designed for professionals: resorts, hotels, waterfront gourmet restaurants, it is now appealing to private individuals At Nautic, we saw a real demand from private customers. Some people also want to buy them for yachts, to complement the range of marine vehicles made up of jet-skis, which aren't ideal for spending an intimate moment. In fact, one of our captains is already taking 4 of them for storage ."
The Ceclo, a work of art
To raise its profile, REV has pulled out all the stops, as the Ceclo will be on display like a work of art on Avenue Montaigne for a few months. " After a 2-3 month exhibition on avenue Montaigne, the first Ceclo will be auctioned off by a major company looking to promote an innovative product."
Speaking of works of art, if you too want to own your own Ceclo, you'll have to act fast, as only 100 units will be produced for this first year. " We have chosen to position ourselves at the top end of the market, so we're playing on the exclusivity of the product. Each model will have its own certificate of authenticity. And we prefer to aim for quality rather than volume."
Offering new sensations
Florent has no intention of stopping there, as the idea is to bring out a new product every year We already have a dozen products in mind, more or less sporty, but our leitmotiv is to offer products that offer new sensations and emotions, to trigger dreams..."
