The Cannes Yachting Festival opens its doors on Tuesday 9 September 2014

From Tuesday 9 to Sunday 14 September, the Cannes Yachting Festival will take place. The first major event of the new year, this international boat show is located on the French Riviera. Come and admire more than 560 boats exhibited afloat and on land, including a hundred units presented in world preview.

The Cannes Yachting festival, first show of the season

This year again, the Cannes Yachting Festival will bring together all the players in the international yachting industry on the French Riviera, in an exhibition area of 200,000 m2. From September 9 to 14, nearly 500 exhibitors will welcome nearly 50,000 visitors, dreamers, enthusiasts, buyers or simple onlookers on the three exhibition areas: The Old Port, Port Pierre Canto and the Palais des Festivals.

The Cannes Yachting Festival is also the first European boat show where you can discover many previews and world novelties, all in a luxurious universe. This prestigious show also allows you to test the latest innovations at sea.

Three exhibition places to find your happiness

The Cannes Yachting Festival offers three exhibition areas spread out on the French Riviera, from one end of the Croisette to the other.

On the Old Port 450 new boats will be on display, afloat. It is in an idyllic setting that you will be able to discover the previews and the latest novelties of the international shipyards. On the water, motor boats and sailing boats from 10 to 50 meters will be presented and on land, exhibitors will offer services and equipment.

Five spaces are created to accommodate the different models:

  • Jetty Albert Edouard North & South âeuros Super Yachts Extension âeuros Traversante : units from 15 to 50 mètres, international shipyards, essential for luxury yachting;
  • Pantiero âeuros Terrace Pantiero âeuros Ferry terminal: units from 10 to 25 mètres. High-end motor boats but smaller size, composed of open, sport, fly, fishing and walking boats;
  • Multihull area: units from 10 to 30 meters. Sailing and motor catamarans;
  • Quai Saint-Pierre âeuros Allée du Poussiat : units from 12 to 25 mètres. Tall ships and motor boats (traditional, open, fly);
  • Quai Max Laubeuf : units from 10 to 20 meters. Sailboats and motorboats.

The Port Pierre Canto will be dedicated to the brokerage, charter and custom market. Many brokers will present magnificent yachts, over 22 meters, looking for new owners. It will be the ideal place to dream in front of the most beautiful yachts in the world.

Finally, at the Palais des Festivals the most important brands dedicated to the yachting industry will meet you on the theme of the art of living on board. 7 spaces will be available:

  • Interior design ;
  • Architects and designers ;
  • Shipyards Grande Plaisance ;
  • Equipment and technologies ;
  • Service companies ;
  • Tenders and yacht tenders;
  • Tourism and marina.
